Thrilling inside and out

2015 TLX

Acura has built performance sedans with purpose and passion for decades, and Metro Detroit and Michigan drivers know to expect a vehicle that’s ready for city life, the highway, or the track. The new 2015 Acura TLX is here to replace the outgoing TSX and TL models, taking on both vehicles’ competitors and leaving them wanting.

  • 2015-TLX-2.4L-ENGINE

    2.4L Four-Cylinder Engine

This standard powertrain is anything but a basic four-cylinder. Acura’s engine features direct fuel injection technology for 206 hp and 182 lb-ft of torque. A lightweight aluminum build helps improve weight and overall handling for the vehicle, accounting for its fuel efficiency: the 2015 TLX 8-Spd DCT earns an EPA-estimated 35 highway and 24 city mpg.*

  • 2015-TLX-3.5L-ENGINE

    3.5L V6 Engine

The 2.4L four-cylinder might be enough for everyday drivers, but some need more power in a sport sedan. The exceptional V6 powertrain brings the output to 290 hp and 267 lb-ft of torque and unlocks SH-AWD as an option. Whether you go with front- or all-wheel drive, the TLX fuel economy means you won’t have to justify your joyrides: TLX FWD V6 models are rated at an EPA-estimated 34 highway mpg while TLX SH-AWD V6 models scored an EPA-estimated 31 highway mpg.*

  • TLX-AllWheelSteer

    Precision All-Wheel Steer

Both the four-cylinder and V6 TLX feature the benefits of Precision All-Wheel Steer. P-AWS is a first for the auto industry: an all-wheel steer system that has separately adjusting toe angles for rear wheels. By working with the TLX’s Vehicle Stability Assist, it improves stability, control, and maneuverability.

  • TLX-AgileHandling

    Agile Handling Assist

It may take hours on a track to learn to corner like a professional driver, but the TLX has Agile Handling Assist technology that helps bridge the gap. The TLX uses the Vehicle Stability Assist safety feature to improve overall handling by using active braking, applying the brakes on an inside wheel to let you exit a curve like you have years of experience behind the wheel.

  • TLX-PerformanceBraking

    Performance Braking

A high-performance sedan like the Acura TLX requires high-performance braking – even if you don’t want to touch the brake pedal.Ventilated front disc brakes and solid rear discs bring responsive braking, controlled via precision brake modulation for quick stopping power.

  • TLX-QuietRide

    Smooth and Quiet

The only noise most of us want to hear when we are behind the wheel of a car like the TLX is the engine roar, and Acura engineers worked hard to ensure performance and road noise are silenced. Features like the brakes, body structure, suspension, and transmission are built to give you true peace and quiet behind the wheel.

Exterior

Aerodynamics and energy fused in design

The TLX wouldn’t be a real Sport Sedan if it didn’t look great in action. Acura put this new car to the test with the extremes of weather while sculpting its aerodynamics through multiple wind tunnel tests. It takes just one look at the TLX to see that it’s ready for action, and when you put the pedal to the floor, it delivers.

  • TLX-JewelHeadlights

    Jewel Eye LED Headlights

The TLX has an unmistakable front end thanks to the Acura Jewel Eye LED headlights. Ten LEDs split between the two headlights, giving a brighter and whiter illumination than traditional lights. And when the headlights aren’t on, the reflectors catch the sunlight and give the headlamps a jewel-like look that catches the eye.

  • TLX-MultiViewCamera

    Multi-angle Rearview Camera

A camera on the rear of each TLX offers a look at what’s behind your sedan before you back up. Actually, it gives three looks thanks to three different angles. Just shift into reverse and glance at your in-dash screen for a crystal clear view before backing up.

  • TLX-KeylessAccess

    Keyless Access System

The 2015 Acura TLX is a smart car with smart looks, and it’s smart enough to know when you’re around. Tech in your key fob lets you unlock and open the doors and start your car without taking your keys out from your purse or pocket. It will even adjust other vehicle settings to your preferences when it senses you are coming.

Interior

Stylish and serene

The TLX cabin is designed to be comfortable and offer a shelter from the hustle and bustle of city life in the Detroit Metro area while also comfortably making long drives and vacations over Michigan. Features like Active Sound Control and acoustically damped glass isolate you from road noise and the available ELS sound system brings audiophile-grade music to the cabin.

  • 2015-TLX-front-seating

    Front Seating

The TLX is ready to put the “sport” into “sport sedan” with front seats built for performance and featuring pronounced side bolsters. Standard heated front seating and leather upholstery make any drive comfortable in a TLX, even if it’s in the dead of winter.

  • 2015-TLX-rear-seating

    Rear Seating

The DNA of the track infuses every inch of the TLX, but Acura knew when they designed it that it would be used for families as well. This mid-size sedan has room for three in the back, ensuring the kids have more room. If you need to pack for a long trip or move something large, just fold down the 60/40 split-folding rear seat.

  • 2015-TLX-audio

    ELS Premium Audio

Elliot Scheiner, Grammy-award winning sound engineer, helped design the available ELS Premium Audio system to replicate the studio experience. With 10 speakers – four mid-range, four tweeters, a center mid-range, and a subwoofer – you can enjoy enhanced streaming audio, radio, or CD audio.

  • 2015-TLX-dashboard

    Dashboard

The TLX dashboard is designed to put everything in reach of the driver, bringing the practicality of many race cars, which have driver-centric cabins. High-tech amenities and futuristic shapes merge for a dashboard design that is both advanced and elegant.

  • 2015-TLX-odmd

    On-Demand Multi-Use Display (ODMD)

There are just two ways to give drivers full control over high-tech gear: cluttered buttons or a streamlined touchscreen. You can probably guess which one Acura chose. The On-Demand Multi-Use Display (ODMD) changes its controls as needed, reducing the number of buttons from dozens to a handful.

  • 2015-TLX-siri

    SMS/Email/Siri Eyes Free

We all feel the need to stay connected, but texting and driving is unsafe and often illegal. The TLX keeps you connected by syncing your phone and bringing your SMS texts and emails to the dashboard. The TLX is even compatible with Siri Eyes Free for a familiar, handsfree interface with the iPhone.

Safety

Safety is top priority

Safety is as much of a factor as performance on sport sedans like the 2015 Acura TLX, and Acura’s safety experts have designed standard and available safety features that help keep you and your passengers secure – some of them can even help you avoid an accident entirely and are part of the AcuraWatch suite of advanced safety amenities.

  • TLX-LaneAssist

    Lane Keeping Assist

This backseat driver is one you’ll appreciate. A forward-facing camera observes the road and alerts you if you start to drift from the lane. If it notices you are drifting without signaling, it sends you a warning to bring your focus back to the drive.

  • TLX-CruiseControl

    Adaptive Cruise Control

Cruise control is a true asset on long drives, but nobody likes having to adjust for the speed of cars around them. The available Adaptive Cruise Control system is able to monitor the speeds of the vehicles around you to automatically adjust the TLX’s speed and keep pace with the other cars on the road.

  • TLX-BlindSpot

    Blind Spot Information System

The TLX has an available Blind Spot Information System that uses radar to monitor your “alert zones” or blind spots. If it senses a vehicle there, it will light up an indicator on the front pillar. If you don’t notice the light and signal a lane change, it will flash the light and offer an audio warning to keep you from merging into another driver.

  • child_safety

    Child Safety

The TLX is a fun and exciting sedan, but that means it has an appeal to families that like fun cars as well. That’s why the TLX features LATCH-compliant child safety seat anchors that let you easily secure your son or daughter’s child seat in seconds. LATCH anchors are made to work with the majority of child seats, keeping your children safe until they are large enough for the seat belt.

  • CollisionSystem

    Collision Mitigation Braking

With Acura’s available Collision Mitigation Braking System, the TLX can actually bring itself to a stop if needed. If the AcuraWatch Plus system detects a potential collision, it will alert you and then automatically apply the brakes to slow you down and reduce the likelihood of collision.

  • RoadDeparture

    Road Departure Mitigation

Acura’s Road Departure Mitigation system features a front camera that keeps an eye on markers and objects on the side of the road. If it notices you’re going to cross a line or drift from the road, it gives you a reminder in the dash (and in the heads-up display), tightening your seat belt and then giving the wheel a nudge to set you back where you belong.
